Data Recovery and Integration Following the Incident

We are writing to let you know that we now have a clear plan for data recovery and integration.

About data recovery and integration

About IDs/links

IDs managed on Atten (such as UserID and PostID) will be merged after being ordered by "posting/creation order".

As a result, links to posts, channels, etc. may point to different posts or channels. Thank you for your understanding.

IDs for data on the old server are expected to remain unchanged due to the system design. For data on the new server, IDs will be changed to larger values to avoid collisions.

Data integration policy

The following data will be merged based on the criteria below:

• Atten accounts

  • Scratch account ID used at registration and login

• 1-on-1 chats

  • When the merged Atten accounts match

• Follows

  • When a follow relationship exists in either the old data or the new data for the merged Atten accounts

The following data will be used from both the old and new servers:

• Posts
• Likes
• Reposts
• Notification tab data
• Group chat channels
• Chat messages

We plan to make it possible to integrate group chat channels by submitting a request.

We apologize for the inconvenience, but the following data will be deleted/reset:

• Session data
  • Please log in again.
• Notifications via Web Push
  • Please enable notifications again after logging in.
• Discord integration
  • Please reconnect it again after logging in.

Integration schedule

We are planning server maintenance that includes data integration at the times below. Atten will be unavailable during the maintenance.

• Start time: 2/24 20:30
• Estimated duration: about 30 minutes

During the maintenance, a modal indicating that maintenance is in progress will be shown, and you will not be able to use Atten.

If unexpected issues occur, the maintenance itself may be postponed or may take longer than planned.
